James Calvin Cox, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Countryside Healthcare in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Hickman, KY, retired from Murray Ohio, and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Mr. Cox served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alford Henry Cox, Jr. and Jessie Ann Collins Cox; three brothers, Willie Cox, Thomas Cox, and David Cox; and four sisters, Clara Cox, Hattie Reynolds, Mary Opal Rogers, and Ruth Wertherton.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, April 24, 2017, with Mickey Brackin and Brad Lowery officiating. Interment will follow at Lewis County Memorial Gardens in Hohenwald, TN with full military honors.
