Faye Ellen Smith Barber – Obituary

Faye Ellen Smith Barber, 91, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Dogwood Plantation in Fulton. She was born October 26, 1925, to Curtis B. and Lizzie Lee Pierce Wheeler. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She retired from Genesco and was a homemaker.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Dr. Ed Deuschle officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include one son, Rick Smith (Cynthia) of Fulton; one daughter-in-law, Peggy Smith of Holly Springs; two grandchildren, Leigh Smith of Fulton and Jason Smith (Emily) of Southaven; two great-grandchildren, Cade Smith and Noah Smith; one sister-in-law, Gean Wheeler of Fulton; and one brother-in-law, Tony Venci of Kenosha, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Smith; husband, Ray Barber; one son, Larry Smith; three brothers, Clellon Wheeler, C.B. Wheeler, and Bob Wheeler; five sisters, Rozell Cantrell, Ethylene Sadler, Lucille McEwen, Eva Green, and Gena Venci; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Tony Green, Mike Nanney, Doug Smith, Cade Smith, Noah Smith, Jerry Reese, and Glyn Hughes.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
