Mary “Catherine” Bradley – Obituary

Mary “Catherine” Bradley, age 85, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at NHC Columbia.

Catherine was born on June 22, 1931 in Centerville, Tennessee to the late Earl David McCoy and Willie Cagle McCoy. She was married to the late James “Jim” Edward Bradley. Catherine loved sitting on her porch and piecing quilts together. She had many hobbies including collecting rocks and tending to her flower bed. Catherine had a “green” thumb and loved to watch her flowers grow. She was family oriented and loved her family dearly. Catherine was a long term member of over fifty years of Knob Creek Baptist Church. She deeply loved her Lord.

The family will visit with friends and family on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro Anthony Muston officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.

Catherine is survived by her children Judy Ladd, Sandra Brown, Linda (Jimmy) Fitzgerald, William “Bill” (Kim) Bradley, and Pamela Bradley; siblings Willie Mai (Jimmie) Allen, Annie Edmiston, and Curtis (Sue) McCoy; grandchildren Kim (Steve) Brady, Keith (Jamie) Bradley, Kerry Bradley, Christy (Craig) Wallace, James (Sarah) Fitzgerald, Tim (Michelle) Fitzgerald, Jason (Jennifer) Bradley, Josh Bradley, Ashley Bradley, Candace (Deryl) Gentry, and Joey (Donna) Dodson; twenty great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her dog Nicky.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband James “Jim” Edward Bradley; son Danny Edward Bradley; brothers Buddy McCoy, William McCoy, and Junior McCoy; son-in-laws Robert Ladd and Barry Brown; and her parents Earl and Willie McCoy.

Pallbearers will be James Fitzgerald, Tim Fitzgerald, Anderson VanBibber, Jason Bradley, Keith Bradley, KJ Bradley, and Joey Dodson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to NHC Columbia’s staff and residents, and her past and present doctors, Dr. Shawn Reed, Dr. Charles Ball, Dr. James Richardson, and Dr. Jacques Heibig.
