Jerry O. Massey – Obituary

Jerry O. Massey, 75, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Russellville Hospital, Russellville. Mr. Massey was a native of Franklin County and had lived there his entire life. A resident of Belgreen, he was an electrician. He worked for several years at U.S. Reduction before working for and retiring from Solutia. He was a member of Five Points Church of Christ.

Visitation for Mr. Massey will be Sunday, April 16, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Services will follow on Monday, April 17, at 1 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Danny Fuller. Burial will be in Dempsey Cemetery at Belgreen.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Massey, Adam Joseph, Andrew Joseph, Matthew Massey, Mark Massey, and Kyle Prince. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Madden and Jeff Barksdale.

Mr. Massey is survived by his wife, Martha A. Massey, and children, Marilyn Logan (David), Mike Massey (Jane), and Joey Massey. Siblings include Rayburn Massey, Royce Massey, Rita Prince, and Judy Joseph. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Allison Logan Bailey, Jake Logan, and Booklyn Massey; and one great-grandchild, Zeke Bailey; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Lou Ella Holden Massey, and one son, Greg Massey. Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, assisted the family.
