Morris Franklin Nelson age 80 of Elkmont, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Nelson was born December 25, 1936 in Limestone County, AL to John L. Nelson and Lillian Eaton Nelson.
Services will be Saturday, April 15, 2017 12:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Randy Johnson and David Nelson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Nelson was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Nelson; one brother, Dennie Nelson.
Survived by one son, Ricky Nelson and wife, Judy; two grandchildren, Brandy Lovell and husband, Nick, Bruce Nelson and wife, Melissa; four great-grandchildren, Garrett Lovell, Gentry Lovell, Ivey Nelson and Brynn Nelson; one brother, David Nelson and wife, Ruth Ann; two sisters, Martha Ann McCaghren and Ila Dean Collins; numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Nelson, Nick Lovell, Timmy Meredith, Rusty Nelson, Greg Nelson and David Nelson.
