Judy Leah Bruce – Obituary

Judy Leah Bruce, 76, of Sheffield, AL passed away Friday, April 14, 2017. Visitation will be Sunday, April 16, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow in the chapel at 2:00 p.m.  Brother Phillip Wright and Brother Larry Kilpatrick will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. She was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church. Judy loved life, never met a stranger, and was always smiling and positive. She loved her family, friends dearly and loved to cook for her family. She loved collecting dishes, tea sets, and she loved playing her piano. She enjoyed helping her son out at Brown Upholstery. Judy and Millard loved being members of the Mid-South Chapter Hudson Club, Muscle Shoals Street Rod Club. They traveled around the country with their Hudson Club and met and made many friends and had many good times. Judy loved her Bunko night and all her Bunko girls.

She was preceded in death by parents, Berry and Sally Sayor; son, Kevin Brown; brother, Jimmy Sayor.

Survivors are husband, Millard Bruce; sons; James Keith Brown (Debby), Kim Shawn Brown (Kelly), Terry Bruce (Pam) and Jimmy Bruce; brother, Johnny Sayor (Sonia); sister, Jane Haddock (Roger). She also had her grand-dogs.

Pallbearers will be Freddie McCluskey, John Davis, Ronnie Gist, Jeff Sockwell, Myron Lackey, Bill Brown, and Witt Liles.

Special thanks to RN Alice, RN Lauren, RN Tiffany, and RN Sally at Helen Keller Hospital and RN Tonya Long, RN Kevin Brower, Susan Kennedy at Alacare Hospice and Missy at M.K. Infusions. Thank you all for the loving and tender care and concerns for Judy and her family and for  Regina Sockwell, Missy Davis, Lori Brown, devoted neighbors and such good friends and thanks for all you have done for us and Millard.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital and Shoals Save-A-Life.
