TUSCUMBIA-Tuscumbia Police went to the residence in the 1000 Block of Shirley Drive this morning in regards to a male assaulting his parents. They also had a warrant for the same crime that was going to be served.
The subject fired 2 rounds at Officers. The area was sealed off. The male barricaded himself in the residence.
Colbert County Sheriff’s Department, Muscles Shoals Police Department as well as Muscle Shoals S.W.A.T., Sheffield Police assisted with this stand-off
The Male was taken into custody without injury.
Tuscumbia City Mayor Kerry Underwood issued the following statement:
“I appreciate the hard work of all of our local law enforcement employees and Chief Logan. I am glad this situation was resolved peacefully with no further injury or loss of life.”
