Haskel Benny Parmley – Obituary

Mr. Haskel Benny Parmley, 80, of Red Bank passed away Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. He was born in Tracy City on June 19, 1936 to Jack D. Parmley and Rachel Carrick Parmley who preceded him in death along with his sister, Ann Hayes; brother, Bobby Parmley.

He had been a well know widely respected Butcher with a faithful clientel at the Home Stores in Chattanooga then Red Food and Later Bi-Lo. He was a 1954 graduate of Grundy County High School.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Grooms Parmley; sons, Jason Bentley Parmley, San Diego, CA, Jonathan Grooms Parmley, Red Bank; daughter, Jennifer Jeanette Parmley, Tracy City; sister, Sally Carol Brown, Tracy City; brothers, Tom Mike Parmley, Aurora, CO, David Parmley, Powder Springs, GA and Carlton Parmley, Tracy City; grandchildren, Jennifer Lauren Flanery, Audra Parmley and Abbie Parmley; great granddaugher, Vivian Claire Flanery; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM CDT Monday April 17, 2017 at the Foster and Lay Funeral Home in Tracy City. Visitation: 12:00 Noon Monday until time of service at Foster and Lay Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery at Gruetli-Laager.
