Raymond Spencer Borden – Obituary

Funeral for Raymond Spencer Borden, 89, of Moulton will be Friday, August 31, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Bro. RC Borden and Bro. Billy Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Old Town Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Borden, who died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, was born March 16, 1923, in Lawrence County to Reason and Ferby Borden. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, six sisters and one grandson. Mr. Borden was a retired farmer. He was the most loving husband, father and grandfather, and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eleanor Borden; three daughters, Joan Little (Thomas), JoAnn Dutton (Joel) and Kay Kimbrough (Barry); six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-granddaughters and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

Elliott Funeral Home is directing.
