Ussery “Uncle Charlie” Green, age 78, of Moulton, passed away Saturday 4/8/2017. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Elliott’s Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hollis Retherford and Rev. Chris Godbee officiating. Interment will follow in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens with Military Honors preformed by the U.S. Army. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
Ussery was born October 31, 1938 in Lawrence County to Willis Green and Reba Blaxton Green, who both precede him in death. He is also preceded by his Wife, Marvie T. Green, and by two Brothers W.J. Green and David Green. And by a son-n-law, David Lee Harville. He retired from Champion IP in 2000. Ussery Honorably served his Country as a member of the Army National Guard. And he was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include, One Son, Ussery “Buddy” Lynn Green and his wife Lisa. One Daughter, Chealena Bennett. One Brother, Fred Green. One Sister Ann Retherford. 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
