Argus White, 74, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Mantachie, he was born August 8, 1942, to Arron Vonnie and Arnie Vee Hallmark White. He was married to the love of his life, Martha White, for 52 years. He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. He retired from Dossett Big 4 parts department. Argus enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Argus loved his family, and he will be greatly missed by them.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Guyton Hinds and Bro. Rodney Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Martha; their four children, Tami Rogers (Tracy), Perry White, Polly Jones (Scottie), and Barry White (Lisa); six grandchildren, Cody, Blake, Montana, Dakota, Carolyna, and Austin; two great-grandchildren, Rosie and Jayden; two brothers, Lelva White and Irron White; and two step-great grandchildren, Anna and Eli.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; a sister; and a grandson, Aaron Cole Rogers.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Pitts, Kaleb Felks, Terry Collier, Scott Sheffield, Eli White, and Michael Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Williams and Rudy Dossett.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
