Fran Morrison, 75 of Lacey’s Spring, died Friday April 7, 2017 at her daughter’s residence.
Mrs. Morrison was born February 22, 1942 in Morgan County to Raymond Jack Hill and Geneva Ilene Elledge. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo, dancing and spending time with her family. Her husband Edward Morrison preceded her in death on July 17, 2007.
She was of the Holiness Faith.
Mrs. Morrison is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Elizabeth and Kenneth Duke and Pamela and Mike McKee; her brother and sister- in-law: Danny and Linda Hill; her sisters and brother-in-law: Imogene Russell, Karen and Delmer Putnam; four grandchildren: Jacqueline Duke and Shawn McKinney, Lee and Angela Duke, Skylar Holmes and Lauren McKee; great grandchildren: Kayla McKinney and Bryson McKinney. She was preceded in death by her husband; Edward Morrison; her son Edward “Bud” Morrison, Jr; her parents: Raymond and Geneva Hill; three brothers: Arthur Hill, Dewey Hill and Randy Hill and her sister: Gail Walling.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City with Brother: Jimmy Morrow, officiating. Burial will be in Morris Cemetery, Merrill Mtn Road in Grant with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel and Brindlee Mountain Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Freeman, Timmy Freeman, Eddie Freeman, Anthony Freeman, Jimmy Chunn and Glenn Thornberry.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday April 10, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City.
