Robert Charles “Toby” Sewell – Obiuary

Robert Charles “Toby” Sewell, 81, of Rogersville passed away Thursday, April 6th, 2017 at his residence. He was a 1956 graduate of Lauderdale County High School, a commercial fisherman and owner/operator of Sewell’s Seafood for many years. Toby was an avid fisherman, sports fan, loved to travel and spend time with his family. He was of the Baptist faith.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 9th, 2016 from 12 – 3 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Jimmy Cox officiating. Burial will be in Rogersville Funeral Home Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Belue, Jacob Tate, Todd Springer, Chad Belue, Grant Thornton, Grayson Thornton; honorary, Matt Adams and Jerrod Clemons.
Toby was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy & Lillie Sewell; wife, Katherine “Kat” Sewell; infant brother and brother, Delton Sewell. He is survived by his daughters, Toni (Carl) Tate, Tina (Mike) Belue and Tana (Sammy) Springer; grandchildren, Tia Thornton, Tonya (Robert) Newton, Chris (Juwanda) Belue, Tasha (Matt) Adams, Carla (Jerrod) Clemons, Jacob (Kelli) Tate, Todd (Brandi) Springer and Chad Belue; great-grandchildren, Grant, Grayson, Abby, Mattie, Samuel, Layne, Hannah Grace, Houston, Annalee, Lillie, Colt, Hayden, Tate, Ava and Isaac; sisters, Melba Thompson and Ann Davis and a host of friends.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Toby’s caregiver, Virginia McKelvey for her compassionate care.
