Mable Elizabeth Herring – Obituary

Mable Elizabeth Herring, age 86, Phil Campbell, passed away on Saturday, April 01, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Herring was a member of First Baptist Church of Phil Campbell and worked as church librarian. She worked as a librarian at Northwest Shoals Community College until early 2015. She loved and trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ and she showed that love to all she met.

The visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, April 04, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Phil Campbell, with the funeral following at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Russellville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee Herring; son-in-law, Larry Meadows; father, George Allen Dugger; mother, Ella Verta Thompson Dugger; and sister, Margene Snider.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Thomas Lee Herring Sr. (wife, Debbie), Barbara Peppers (husband, Rick), Karen Embry (husband, Alan), Bryan Herring, Gina Meadows; grandchildren, Stacey Fretwell (husband, Robert), Thomas Stephen Herring Jr. (wife, Ashley), Angie Scruggs (husband, Robby), Dusti Monk (husband, Thomas), Chris Herring, Leanne Cole (husband, James), Ethan Herring (wife, Lyndsay), Lauren Meadows, Traci Meadows, and Scott Meadows; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Dugger; and several nieces and nephews.
