Charles Stephen Phillips – Obituary

Charles Stephen Phillips, 68 of Arab, died Sunday April 2, 2017 at Crestwood Medical Center.
Mr. Phillips was born October 18, 1948 in Jefferson County to James Collins Phillips and Sarah Elizabeth Harrison Phillips. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. His wife, Carolyn Mildred Lively Phillips preceded him in death on May 16, 1990. Mr. Phillips was a commercial truck driver, enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting arrow heads and working on cars.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his daughters and son-in-law: Menia and Mike King and Stephanie and David Baker; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Don Phillips, Jimmy and June Phillips, Larry and Elaine Phillips; grandchildren: Graham Phillips, Emma King and Amber King. He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Sarah Phillips and a brother: George Phillips.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday April 4, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Joey Staton, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
