Robert Wayne Hood – Obituary

Robert Wayne Hood, 73, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 17, 1943, in Itawamba County to the late Junior Hood and Halovee Umphres Hood. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Robert lived his entire life in the Ryan’s Well Community of Itawamba County. He served in the National Guard, an later began working for Itawamba County District 1. He was self employed in the logging industry as well as a caretaker for several community cemeteries. Robert was also a active member of the Tishomingo Wagon Train Association where he served as vice-
president for many years.

Services will be held at Senter Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Sunday April 2, 2017 with Bro. Bobby Jarrell and Bro. Lloyd Minor officiating. The burial and graveside service to follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be at Senter Funeral Home on Saturday April 1, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm.

He is survived by 1 sister, Myra Hood Adams, 2 brothers, Eddie G. Hood and Paul R. Hood (Beau Patterson) of Ryan’s Well Community.
He was preceded in death by his parents Junior an Halovee Hood.

Pallbearers will be Jessie Vess, Charlie Williams, Jackie Pruitt, Bro. Hal Holt, Anthony George, Jimmy Gosa.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jose and Amanda Bejarno also a special thanks to Bradley
Brown for his help during this time.
