Mancil Slaton – Obituary

Mancil Slaton, 84, of Rogersville passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at his residence.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 from 12 – 2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home with funeral service following in the chapel with Wendell White, Kevin Lash and Alyssa Lash speaking. Burial will be in Harvey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Davis, Troy Brown, Larry Holden, Jackie Scoggins, Tim Howard, Gene McCafferty; honorary, James Richardson, B.H. Parker, Roy Lee Woodall and David Brown.
Mr. Slaton was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Applice & Lillian Slaton; siblings, Etheridge, Arlin, Faye, Iris, Mary, Dot and Evelyn. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Peggy Holden Slaton; children, Ronald (Lesa) Slaton, Belinda (Billy) Brown, Christi (Tim) Haraway and Carrie (Kevin) Lash; grandchildren, Chad, Dusty, Chelsea, Stephanie, Alexis, Kaylee and Alyssa; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Travis Slaton and Francis Scoggins; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank Gentiva/Kendrid Hospice and Jada Yarborough for their compassionate care.
