Louise Jones Donahue Hill – Obituary

Funeral for Louise Jones Donahue Hill, 98, of Decatur, will be 2 p.m. today, March 27, 2017 at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home with Reverend Taylor Todd officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hill who died March 23, 2017 at her residence, was born in Lincoln County Tennessee to Leslie Jones and Etna Raby Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Lorena Bowling, Lena Mae Hayes, Elsie Bass, and Mary Royer; one brother, Billy Jones; and two husbands, T.J. Donahue and Clarence Hill.

She was a 1937 graduate of Decatur Riverside High School and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church from 1931 until present. She was employed at Alabama Hosiery Mill, Cook’s Pest Control, Hills Grocery, and retired from Anderson Office Equipment.

She is survived by three stepsons, Harold Hill, Kenneth Hill, and Gary Hill, all of Decatur; stepdaughter, Gloria Gray, of Tuscaloosa; eleven step-grandchildren; a number of stepgreat-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews and close family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 801 Jackson Street, Decatur, Alabama 35601
