Geraldine Nichols Sessions – Obituary

Geraldine Nichols Sessions, 83, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1933, to Clifford and Willie Raper Nichols. She was a Baptist in belief and attended Centerville Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing SkipBo and canning vegetables.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Greg Jones and Bro. Castor Buse officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Janet Dozier (Jim) of Beach Park, Illinois; two grandsons, Jeremy Dozier (Stephanie) of Trinity, Florida, and Josh Dozier (Makara) of Zion, Illinois; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Sedona, and Amrion Dozier; one brother, Olen Nichols of Centerville; and two sisters, Clytee Barber of Tupelo and Corrine Bolton of Southaven.

She was preceded in death by her son, William Carl Gilmore; her parents; three brothers, Loyd, Lowell “Jack,” and Cratus Nichols; and three sisters, Lucille Barber, Myrtis Haynes, and Winnie Minga.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Countrywood Manor and Lakeview Place as well as a special lady, Shelly, for the care given to their loved one.
