James Luther Lingelbach – Obituary

James Luther Lingelbach passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017. Mr. Lingelbach was born April 9, 1937, to Henry and Myrtle Burks Lingelbach. He was a plumber for Local 23, Rockford, Illinois, for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Melvin and Elelyn Johnson; son, Daniel and; one great-granddaughter, Bailey Lingelbach; four brothers, Louis, William, Richard, and Robert; and two sisters, Annabelle Hallman and Ella Wilson.

Mr. Lingelbach is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Jo Johnson Lingelbach; sons, Thomas (Nancy) Lingelbach, of Rutledge, Tennessee, Ralph (Diana) Lingelbach, of Town Creek, Alabama, and Scott (Cindy) Lingelbach, of Town Creek, Alabama; daughter, Linda (David Hanson); four grandsons; eight granddaughters; and 27 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be Friday, March 24, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with a time of visitation from noon until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.

We wish to thank Hospice for the great care that they gave him. The family would also like to thank Dr. Flora Kayfan and all the staff on the fourth floor at Helen Keller Hospital. Gone but not forgotten. Love you all for the time and patience.
