Gary Lynn “Sea Monster” Armstead, 58, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Public viewing will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church, Florence, with burial in Peters Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
