Lerline Spradling Comer – Obituary

Lerline Spradling Comer, 81, died Monday, March 20, 2017, at The Meadows. She was born January 26, 1936, to Clyde and Ruth Love Lucas. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She worked many years at Mantachie Manufacturing and then at Itawamba Manufacturing. She enjoyed going out to eat and especially loved to travel.

Services will be at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday, March 22, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Kelby Johnson and Bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Durell Comer of Dorsey; one son, Ken Spradling (Amy) of Dorsey; one daughter, Patty Prestage of Mantachie; two step-sons, Rickie Comer (Nancy) of Dorsey, and Tony Comer (Rhonda) of Peppertown; one step-daughter, Janice Magers (Robert) of Tupelo; three grandchildren, Matthew Prestage (Anna Clark), Zachary Spradling (Bronson), and Kelsey Spradling; two great grandchildren, Oakley Spradling and Emory Prestage; seven step-grandchildren; eight step- great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Cuthern Spradling; one sister, Sarah Boyd Dunn; one grandson, Michael Allen Prestage; one son-in-law, Ronnie Prestage; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 p. m. Tuesday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
