Dorothy Jean Hanback – Obituary

Dorothy Jean Hanback, 83, of Florence, passed away on March 17, 2017 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Petersville Church of Christ and she deeply loved and appreciated all of her church family. She was the former business owner of Heaven to Seven.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Petersville Church of Christ from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. with the funeral following at 3:00 p.m. Sonny Owens will be officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and May Scott; brothers, Charles, Billy Joe and Junior Scott; sister, Anita South.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Hanback; son, Robbie Hanback (Shelia) daughter, Teresa Gaye Hanback (Steve Reynolds) all of Florence; brother, Roy Scott of Willingham, Massachusetts; sister, Betty Smith of South Bend, Indiana; grandchildren, Kelsey Vaughan (Chad), Kolby Hanback (Kendra), Kody Hanback, Bronson Hanback (Katie), Alisha Haataja (Scott) and Ashley Liles (Kristen); great-grandchildren, Brockton and Brecken Hanback, Addison and Madelyn Liles and Evan Haataja.

Active pallbearers will be Bronson Hanback, Kody Hanback, Ricky Scott, Chad Vaughan, Shane Hanback and Jim Goldy.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Kolby Hanback (United States Navy), Scotty South and Steve Reynolds.

The family would like to extend special thanks to all the wonderful doctors and nurses at ECM Emergency room, CCU, 6th floor, Dr. Eric Santiago and Dr. Ghassan Abusaid and her special friends of 52 years Rogers and Joann Kimbrell.
