Addie B. Russell, 97, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her residence. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. tomorrow, March 19, 2017, with a Celebration of Life Service following at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Jackie Kay and Brother Craig Carlisle officiating, and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her sons, Ray Russell, Jr. (Linda), Fuller Russell (Kay), and Jerry Russell (Sandy); six grandchildren, Jay Russell (Angel), Danielle Watley (Eric), Mardi Stewart (Morgan), Stacy Westbrook (Paul), Kelly Mills (Victor), and Carrie Henderson (Marques); 16 great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was a member at Central Park Baptist Church and supported her family and grandchildren in everything they participated in. She had a love for fishing, sewing, and singing with the Prime Timers Choir at Central Park Baptist Church. She owned and operated Russell’s Minnow Pool for over 25 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Central Park Baptist Church Mission Fund.
