Althward Taylor (A.T) Austin, 91, of Killen, AL, passed away March 13, 2017. Mr. Austin was a member of First Baptist Church of Killen and a retired painter at TVA. He was also a member of Killen Lion’s Club, Killen Masonic Lodge, and Painter’s Union Local #1293.

Mr. Austin is survived by:

Sons: Lyndon Wayne Austin (Janet) of Alexander City, AL

Tim Austin

Daughter: Sherry Baker (Charlie) of Killen

(5) Grandchildren & (11) great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by:

Wife: Lillian B. Austin

Parents: Alfred and Lillie Parker Austin

Sisters: Rosie Scott, Elzura Fulmer, and Cynthi Mansell

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at Killen First Baptist Church with David McKelvey officiating. The casket will lie in state at the church from 12-1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Killen First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Waymon Gray, Randall Weaver, Mike Herston, Leon Smith, Nick Adams, and Luke Adams.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for all the loving care that was given to their dad.
