Agnes Favors Ritter – Obituary

Agnes Favors Ritter, 86, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, at ECM Hospital. She was retired from Lauderdale County Board of Education after working as secretary/bookkeeper for Lauderdale County High School for 27 years. She was a member of Elgin Crossroads Primitive Baptist Church, attended the Rogersville Senior Center, and was an avid supporter of Lauderdale County High School athletics program. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her best friend, Elouise White.

Visitation will be today from 5 – 8 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Gary Williams and Ricky Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in Corum Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Ritter, Justin Ritter, John Ritter, Corey Lawson, Todd Lawson, Bailey Thomas, Dylan Cosby, and Wade Menefee; honorary is Curtis Ritter and Max Menefee.

Mrs. Ritter was preceded in death by her spouse, Luther Junior Ritter; parents, Curtis and Mary Favors; sisters, Pat Clark and Robbie Gautney; and grandson, Andrew Ryan Ritter.

She is survived by her children, Jimmy Ritter (Beth), Ronnie Ritter (Terri), Marsha Ritter Lawson (Randy), and Lisa Ritter Thomas (Joey); grandchildren, Chastity Ritter Springer (Brian), Jeremy Ritter (Jessica), Justin Ritter (Charis), John Ritter (Lauren), Katherine Ritter Menefee (Wade), Corey Lawson, Todd Lawson, and Bailey Thomas; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Sydney, Alexandria, and Curtis Mitchell, and Carly, Brooklyn, Lauren, Lillian, Max, Elliotte, Mallory, and Presley; brothers-in-law, Chick Ritter and Rayburn Clark; and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
