Charles Walter Gannon – Obituary

A funeral mass for Mr. Charles Walter Gannon, age 85, of Petersburg, Tennessee will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. George Panthananickal officiating. Burial will follow in Wright’s Cemetery. Mr. Gannon was a native of West Friendship, Maryland and son of the late Charles and Barbara Ludwig Gannon. He was a farmer, served in the US Army in Korea, and a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Survivors include his daughters Kathy Louise Fowler of Fayetteville and Sharon Gannon (Russell) Tice of Laurel, Maryland; grandchildren Krystal Laverty and James Daniel Farris; great-grandchildren Waylon Kyle Farris, Payton Laverty, and Melody Laverty; sister Barbara Gannon; sister-in-law Irene Wright DeLacy; and niece Kathleen E. DeLacy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gannon was preceded in death by his wife Louise Wright Gannon in 2012 and a son Charles Steven Gannon in 1997.

Visitation with the family will be 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home. A Rosary Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday evening. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Charles Walter Gannon.
