Bertha Mae Elledge – Obituary

Bertha Mae Elledge, age 82, Russellville, passed away on Monday, March 06, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Elledge was a loving and kind CNA and worked for 45 years at Russellville Healthcare until she retired at the young age of 75. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of South Side Baptist Church.

The visitation will be 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 08, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elledge; son, William “Pete” Landers parents, Albert Edward & Lula Mae Chambers, and sister, Shirley Quillen.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Teresa Alsbrooks (husband, David), Lowell “Tooter” Landers; grandchildren, Clint Moore (wife, Misty), Chase Landers (wife, Katelynn), Chance Landers, Richie Landers, Elizabeth Landers; great-grandchildren, Molly Anne Moore, Logan Landers, Kaitlyn Landers; sister, Gail West (husband, Wayne); brother, John Edward Chambers (wife, Margie); and several nieces & nephews.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hospice of North Alabama and especially Kasie and Machelle for your love and care of our mother.

Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
