Mr. Bobby Joe Smith age 85, of Albertville passed away Saturday March 4, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center South.
Mr. Smith is survived by his family of son Danny Smith, Daughters; Rita Hogue (Stephen), Nancy Bryant, and Tonya Mikel (Lavon), Grandchildren; Traci Shoemaker, Jennifer Sankey, Kelly Anne Moore, Latashia Varnell, Danielle Brock, Nora Breedlove, Emily Cade Matthews, Michael Varnell, and Justin Mikel, Eleven Great Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild on the way, and Sweetie; Rose Weathington.
Mr. Smith Grew up in Guntersville Ala. And graduated from Marshall County High School. Was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, he enjoyed playing bingo and having breakfast with his buddies at Jacks in Guntersville or with the Liars Club at Foodland in Albertville, loved senior dances and attending gospel singings. Mr. Smith served in the US Army during the Korean War. Was a Mason for over 54 years was a member of the Masonic Lodge 430 Albertville. Mr. Smith was a member of the American Legion as well.
