Mary Eunice Hill Hubert – Obituary

Mary Eunice Hill Hubert, 83, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. Affectionately known as Miss Mary, she was born September 3, 1933 in Union County, MS, the daughter of Otha C. and Lydia Pearl Stanford Hill. Miss Mary worked in the furniture industry for many years as a button maker. After her retirement she began working for Morrison’s Cafeteria where she was known for her wonderful pies. She was a very active and longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and participated in Girls State for 29 years. Miss Mary was also a member of Lee County Helpers C.B. Club and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Tippah County. She enjoyed working in her yard, tending her flowers. She loved people and spending time with her many friends and family.

The family will receive friends at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Monday from 4-7 p.m. A private burial in Lee Memorial Park will take place on Tuesday. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrust with the arrangements.

Miss Mary leaves behind her two children, Teresa Roberts (Jimmy) of Verona and William Hubert of Pontotoc; and two grandsons, Chance Hubert of Pontotoc and Heath Roberts of Saltillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Wright; a brother Benjamin Hill; a step-sister, Mavis Ann Heard; and two step brothers, Troy Wayne and LaVon Medlin.
