Laynette Summers Dozier, 97, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at The Meadows. She was born October 17, 1919 to the late Hoyt Summers and the late Gertrude Reed Summers in Fulton. She and her late husband owned and operated Dozier’s Drive Inn for many years. She was a member of Fulton Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, and visiting with her family.
Services will be at 11:00 am on Monday March 6, 2017 at Senter Funeral Home with Minister Russ Crosswhite officiating. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery. Visitation will be form 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday March 6 at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her son, Clarence Michael “Mike” (Jan) Dozier of Fulton, Grandchildren, Leigh Ann (Philden) Stockton of Fulton, Brian (Renee) Dozier of Hattisburg, Clay (Jessica) Dozier of Fulton, great grandchildren, Kye Dozier, Olivia Stockton, Emory Dozier, Presley Stockton, 1 sister, Betsy Dulaney of GA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Dozier, her parents, 3 brothers, Graden Summers, James Summers, Julian Summers.
Pallbearers will be Larry Summers, Richard Summers, Brian Dozier, Clay Dozier, Philden Stockton, Kye Dozier, Rickey Dulaney, David Summers, Don DeHart.
