Ernfride ‘Fritzi’ F. Erbach
October 27, 1935 – February 25, 2017
Fritzi Erbach, 81, of Huntsville passed away Saturday, Feb. 25th. Mrs. Erbach was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Erbach. She was born and raised in Kassel, Germany, and was later a resident of Huntsville for 45+ years, becoming an American citizen in 1983. Mrs. Erbach retired from Unisys as a draftsperson. She enjoyed reading, symphony music, ballroom dancing, and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include sons, Peter Erbach (Michelle) and John Erbach of Huntsville; daughter, Christine Gates (Bob) of Estill Springs, TN; grandchildren, Tony Tabor, Alex Tabor, Theresa Erbach, Lizzy Erbach, and Micah Erbach; great-grandchildren, Dexter Tabor, Leonidas Tabor and Bradyn Kopecky.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The memorial service will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Father Michael MacMahon officiating. Laughlin Service Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 117A Longwood Dr. SE, Huntsville, AL 35801.
