Bobby Davis Dollar – Obituary

Bobby Davis Dollar, 84 of Athens, Alabama died on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Born Tuesday, October 11, 1932 in Fayetteville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Henry Dollar and the late Ruth Hill Dollar. He was an avid Tennessee Vols Fan and loved to travel. He especially loved his family and keeping his vehilces clean. He began serving in the US Air Force and retired from the US Army. He then moved back to Ardmore and was a police officer for the Ardmore community during the 1970’s.
Surviving are sons, Steven Dee Dollar of Fayetteville, TN and Johnny Davis Dollar of Petersburg, TN, daughters, Kim (David) Dykes of Ardmore, AL, and Paulette (Mike) Smith of Toney, AL, one sister: Dorothy (Ed) Epps of Smyrna, TN, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Rev. Randy Watts officiating. Burial will be in Prosperity Cemetery, Taft, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to the National Kidney Foundation, 2120 Crestmoor Road, Nashville, TN 37215-2613.
