Dwayne B. Glover – Obituary

 Dwayne B. Glover, 81, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 at Lawrence Medical Center. He was born Sept. 25, 1935 to William G. and Lois Richardson Glover in Lawrence County.

Funeral will be Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Dr. Jesse Reeder and O.D. Bowling officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60-plus years, Gayle Chenault Glover; his parents; and one brother, Gary Dwight Glover.

Survivors include one son, Jeffery J. Glover (Sandy) of Weaver; one daughter, Ginger G. Bevel (Terry) of Decatur; one grandson, Tyler Wayne Bevel of Decatur and one granddaughter, Aspen Lynn Bevel of Decatur; two stepgranddaughters, Jessica Bevel Entrekin (Adam) of Huntsville and Ashley Atherton Branham (Reggie) of Cleveland, Tennessee; three stepgreat-grandkids, Zaden, Zanten and Zellah Branham of Cleveland, Tennessee; one brother, Gwyn Glover (Bobbie) of Moulton; two sisters, Betty Berteen of Moulton and Wylene Stewart of Birmingham; and one brother-in-law, Don Chenault (Carol) of Decatur.

Dwayne was a 1953 LCHS graduate and studied at Peabody College and Florence State. He was a member of Moulton Baptist Church where he served as an usher for many years. He served on Moulton City Council for 16 years. Dwayne was in the insurance business for many years where he was a district sales manager and member of the Hall of Fame with Horace Mann Insurance. He also worked for the Armed Forces Benefit Association where he retired in 2015.

Pallbearers will be Joe Glover, Ronnie Stewart, Mickey Jones, Greg Dutton, Steve McLemore and David Gillespie.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Rains, Lyndon Letson, David Hogan, Wayne Gentry, J. T. Masterson and Dr. Edwardo Gonzalez.
