Rebecca Kay Watson – Obituary

Rebecca Kay Watson was born October 26, 1952 in Alamo, TN the daughter of the late Mayhue and Willie Mae Kirby Easley.

She was united in marriage to Ray Watson on January 4, 1991.

Mrs. Watson was a graduate of Chester County High School. She was formerly employed by Jetrick’s and Selmer Apparel as a seamstress. After the garment industry relocated she enrolled at Crump Vocational/Technical School and prepared herself for a new career, eventually working for McNairy Regional Hospital in medical coding and billing. Mrs. Watson loved to fish in her spare time. She also enjoyed watching “General Hospital” and then calling her best friend Sandra to discuss the program. Her greatest love, however, was spending time with her granddaughter Jessilyn. Mrs. Watson was Baptist in belief.

Mrs. Watson departed this life on February 18, 2017 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 3 Months, 24 Days. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Ray Watson of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Christy Jacobs and husband Charles of Huron, TN; a grandchild, Jessilyn Hickman of Huron, TN; brother-in-law Bobby Watson of Selmer, TN; sister-in-law Patsy Fuller and husband Danny of Eastview, TN; best friend Sandra Ruth of Selmer, TN; and many extended family and friends.
