Kenneth Monroe Lawson Jr., age 70, of Florence, passed away Feb. 18, 2017. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 20, from 1-3 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Malcolm Scott officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mr. Lawson was a member of the Community Freewill Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and son. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Lawson; mother, Bertha Lee Lawson; and his granddaughter, Grace Ann Thigpen.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Fredia Jo Lawson; children, Keyna Robinson (David) and Jessica Thigpen (Jerome); grandchildren, Rebecca Risner, Kimberly Myrick (Andrew) and Laura Robinson; great-grandchildren, Emma Risner, Addison Risner, and Amber Myrick; siblings, Glenda James, Angela Lawson, Sherry Mitchell (Louis), Terry Lawson (Jean) and Wayne Lawson (Kay).
The family would like to thank Dr. Bartmess and Dr. Heaton for their excellent care through the years.
