Julie Renee Patterson, 53, of Huntsville, AL passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, after an eleven month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the daughter of Mary Jo and Winfred Ballard of Wichita Falls, TX. She was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, College of Pharmacy and received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2001. Julie served as the Director of Pharmacy for the Oklahoma State Department of Health from 1992 to 2004 and most recently was the Director of Pharmacy at Bradford Health Services in Madison, AL. She was a volunteer at the Interfaith Medical Clinic in Fort Payne, AL and the Homeland Security Response Team.
Julie is survived by her husband, Tim, her daughter Morgan Thompson, and her step children, Collin Patterson, Erin Patterson, and Hayley Patterson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 22 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 12:00 noon Thursday in the chapel with Mike Ratcliff officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
