Julie Ann Monroe Buford, 48, of Arlington, TX, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in Texas.  Julie loved going to church and enjoyed working at the Dallas Cowboy stadium.  She spent most of her time as a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club for the handicap and she loved her work there and made friends very easily.  She loved watching wrestling and volunteering her time to different church groups around Arlington.

Services will be Saturday, August 25, at 2:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Jeral Gillentine and Bro. William Lambert officiating.  Burial will be in the Red Bay City Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband of eleven years-Kevin Buford of Arlington, TX; her father-Dave Robinson of Red Bay; three sisters-Jeannette Firnstahl of Merrill, WI, Stacey James (Sonny) of Red Bay and Janet Thornburg (Larry) of Iuka; two brothers-John Robert Bush of Ill., Jim E. Monroe of Alexandria, Ill.; a lot of close friends she considered family especially PaPa Jeral Gillentine who was like a second father along with his wife, Sue and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Bonnie Robinson.

Visitation will be Friday, August 24, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.

JOHN D. COOPER

RED BAY, AL. – John D. Cooper, 85, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Red Bay Hospital. He was a native of Franklin County, Al. and had been an employee of Mueller Copper Tube and Blue Bell. He attended Cornerstone Church of God and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 24, at Cornerstone Church of God, Red Bay, Al. with Bro. Ben Young and Bro. Micah Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery, Belmont, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years – Ruth Maxine Cooper, Red Bay, Al.; two children – Jackie Cooper (Dianne) Dennis, Ms. and Debbie Lindsey (Ken) Red Bay, Al.; two sisters-in-law – Bonnie Cooper and Evelyn Cooper; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Bertha Cooper, one sister, Dorothy Faulkner and two brothers, Charles Cooper and Aaron Cooper.

Pallbearers will be elders of Cornerstone Church of God.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, August 23, at Cornerstone Church of God.
