Alabama A&M Dean’s Speaker Series February 23

HUNTSVILLE-Alabama A&M University presents their Dean’s Speaker Series for February on Thursday, February 23 at 12:30 PM in Arthur J. Bond Hall, Room 233 on Alabama A&M campus.  The keynote speaker, Curtis B.Charles will discuss “Design Thinking for Engineering and other STEM Professionals”.

Dr. Curtis Charles, is the Vice President for Research, Development and Innovation at RLM Communications, Inc. Dr. Charles is a graduate of MIT, Howard University, and Morgan State University. Currently, Dr. Charles and his RLM colleagues are collaborating with several universities to develop THE NATIONAL CYBER SENSING INITIATIVE for HOMELAND SECURITY & DEFENSE (NCSIHSD), which uses Graph Theory and Cognitive Computing to get the right indicator to the right digital devices (at any location) before a cyber-attack happens.

               Over the past 12 years, RLM Communications, Inc. – a Department of Defense Contractor – has developed Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Technology, and Intelligence Solutions for Defense agencies. RLM Communications is a privately held, minority-owned, certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Small Disadvantaged Business, which has been dedicated to addressing issues of compelling interest to the security of the United States.

         Before joining RLM Communications, Inc., Dr. Charles served as the 5th President of Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio.
