Jimmy was a native of Hartselle, AL and was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ozelle Dobbs Day.
Survivors include his wife, Dean Day, son, Tim Day of Alden, Il, daughter, Beth (Kris) Graves, Nashville, TN, sisters, Louise Bone of Florence, AL, Joann Flowers of Hartselle, AL, and two grandchildren, Anna Kate Graves and Mary Grace Graves of Nashville.
Pallbearers are Hollis Isbell, Bill Bradford, Rex Smallwood, Joey Jackson, Greg Rusk, and Mike Flowers.
Honorary pallbearers are Lesley Rutherford, Robbie Martin and the members of his Sunday School Class.
Jimmy loved people and was a successful salesman, starting his career at Sherwin Williams and retired from Rusken Packaging. His greatest joy in life were his two precious granddaughters who adored their Poppa.
Jimmy’s family would like to thank his special friends, Sharon and Lesley Rutherford, Robbie and Norma Martin, Doctors Heaton, McAnalley, and Telang and his old coffee drinking friends.
