A celebration of life for Mr. Patrick J. Soreng, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery, Lewisburg, TN. Mr. Soreng was a native of Chicago, Illinois and son of the late Mr and Mrs Charles Soreng. He was a grave digger for many years with the Catholic Cemetery Association, where he retired from in 2005.
Survivors include his daughters Linda Diestelow of Petersburg, TN, and Jennifer (Glen) Hartzell of Three Rivers, MI; son Wayne Soreng of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Christopher (Caci) Diestelow, Paul (Andrea) Diestelow, Matthew Vogt, Sarah Vogt, Jake Hartzell, and Patrick (Brenda) Soreng; two great-grandchildren; and three siblings. In addition to his parents, Mr. Soreng was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane Sanicki Soreng and two siblings.
Visitation with the family will be 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Patrick J. Soreng.
