Howard J. Martin, 85 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at his home.
Born Monday, August 10, 1931 in Limestone County, Alabama, he was the son of the late William Richard Martin and the late Nannie B Mitchell Martin. He loved his family and greatly enjoyed farming. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son: Michael Martin.
Surviving are his wife: Audra Mae Bond Martin of Elkmont, AL, son, Randell (Wanda) Martin of Ardmore, AL, daughters, Ivra (Kermett) Nelson of Moulton, AL and Pam (Robert Wilkinson) Martin of Hartselle, AL, daughter-in-law: Shirley Martin of Ardmore, AL, grandchildren: Jennifer Martin, Melissa Martin Sims, Anthony Martin, Jeff Martin, Kelly Nelson Duque, Kyle Nelson, and Kody Nelson, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Gary Williams officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, Elkmont, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
