Annie Marie Cubine, 96, of Huntsville, AL died on January 31, 2017, at a local hospital. She was the former Annie Marie Fulkerson, a native of Sonora, Kentucky.
She was a former Registered Nurse, a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Nurse Corps for three years. She later worked at the Veterans Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky, retiring from there, after 30 years, as a nurse in 1975. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Huntsville.
Cubine was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Fulkerson, her husband of 48 years, Charles H. Cubine, three brothers Mitchell, Earnest, and infant Estell Fulkerson, and an infant sister Ella Francis Fulkerson.
She is survived by a sister, Carrie Mae Fulkerson; niece, Carol Ann Fulkerson Key, both of Huntsville; two great-nieces, Laura Debiasi (Marcus) and Megan Mills (Charles), one great-great niece; and three great-great nephews, all of Birmingham.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 4 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, with the funeral service following. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
