Earl Haggard – Obituary

Earl Haggard was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 23, 1919 the son of the late Otis Orval and Zelma Garrard Haggard.

On August 9, 1941 he was united in marriage to Grace Majors, who preceded her husband in death on March 15, 2003.

Earl served his country in the United States Army. He was a farmer, a member of Russell Chapel Church, Masonic Lodge #629 of Saltillo, Eastern Star and Woodmen of the World.

He departed this life on August 16, 2012 in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 24 days.

Earl is survived by one daughter, Ginger Haggard Ayres of Thompson Station, Tennessee

2 grandchildren, Jeffrey William Holloway and his wife Shannon Murphy Holloway and Anne Katherine Hunter and her husband Scott Hunter.

5 great grandchildren, Conor and Colin Holloway and Henry, Bennett and William Hunter

one brother, Byrl Haggard and one sister, Lela Griffin, both of Savannah, Tennessee

In addition to his parents and his wife, Earl was also preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Davis and four brothers, Herbert, Otis, Robert and Barney K. Haggard
