Mary Sue Murrell White – Obituary

Mary Sue Murrell White, 92, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Alliance Healthcare in Holly Springs. She was born September 11, 1924, in Itawamba County to Trent and Caress Wood Loague. She worked as a cashier at Fred’s in Tupelo and Fulton. She was a member of Dorsey Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery and at Vacation Bible School. She loved cooking, gardening, and raising flowers, especially her camellia bushes and African violets. Most of all, she enjoyed being around her children and grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 19, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Danny Rushing officiating. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Franklin S. Murrell, Jr. (Callie) of Mooreville; one daughter, Paulette Jackson (Halbert) of Mantachie; one daughter-in-law, Donna Murrell of Dorsey; one brother, Junior Loague (Joyce) of Peppertown; her grandchildren, David Murrell (Sandy), Frank Murrell III, Butch Jackson (Kim), Melanie Murrell, and Anna Murrell; her great-grandchildren, CJ Jackson (Brianna), Victoria Jackson, Jesse Murrell, and Tyler Murrell; a great-great granddaughter, Collins Ellyse Jackson; her special friends, Andy and Rena Chism and Peyton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Sherrell Murrell and Carl White; one son, Terry Murrell; one brother, Trice Loague; three sisters, Faye Riley, Mona Loden, and Joyce Cooley; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be David Murrell, Frank Murrell, Butch Jackson, CJ Jackson, Jon Conn, and Justin Comer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Loague, Rickey Riley, Ronnie Riley, Wayne Loden, and Jayson Comer.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, at the funeral home.
