Graveside service for Wendell Ray Shankle, 83, of Decatur will be Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Caddo Cemetery with Pastor Doug Moody officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
He retired from General Motors after 28 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Barney K. and Lula Mae Shankle and one son, Roger Shankle.
He is survived by six children, Tony Shankle, Belinda (Gary) Keefer, Jerry (Yvette) Shankle, Janice Cooper, Justin (Regina)Shankle, Rachel (Jamie) McCollum; 29 grandchildren; four brothers and sisters.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
