Funeral services for George William Miller, age 67 of Falkville, AL; will be held Wednesday, January 18,11 am, at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Robin Lambert officiating with private burial to follow. The family will receive friends Tuesday January 17 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Miller was born December 29, 1949 in Miflinburg, Pennsylvania to John Merrill and Alma Eberhart Miller.and passed away Saturday, January 14 at his farm.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jean M. Walker.

He is survived by his wife Teresa Yates Miller; daughter Christy Miller Carr; three brothers:; Ralph E( Nancy) Miller of Mifflinburg,PA, Glenn R. (Brenda) Miller of Mifflinburg, PA, and John M. (Tina) Miller of Mifflinburg PA; three sisters: Dawn E (Frank) Spickler of Beavertown PA, Sharon K. Kahl of Hartleton PA and Holly E. (Stanley) Catherman of Middleburg PA.

Mr. Miller was a graduate of Western Area Joint Jr- Sr High School in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania. He attended Calhoun Community College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude from Alabama A&M University. He received a M.Ed from The Pennsylvania State University and J.D from Birmingham School of Law. His academic achievements include: Alpha Zeta Honor Fraternity, Beta Beta Beta Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Mu, National Dean’s List, Academic Honor Roll, Who’s Who in America’s Colleges and Universities, Outstanding Young Men in America, Agricultural Leadership Award, Faithful Service Award in Agriculture.

He served in the US Marine Corps and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant .He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Miller was employed by the Morgan Co Sheriff’s Dept, Morgan Co Board of Education, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service and was a practicing attorney since 1995. He was a member of the Alabama State Bar, the American Bar Association, Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity International, and The Pennsylvania Alumni Association. He served on the Board of Trustees of Alabama A&M University from 1987-1991.

Pallbearers will be Neil Quattlebaum, Billy Tillman, Barry Dutton, Wayne Smith, Rodger Saint, J. R. Law, and Vince Lambert.
