Peggy June Shaddix, 75 of Lacey’s Spring Alabama, the Morgan City area, died Thursday January 12, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Shaddix was born June 29, 1941 in Walker County, Alabama to Luther D. Dailey and Clura Mae Eaton Dailey. She worked at Blue Bell/Wrangler and IEC before her retirement. Her husband, Wiley Cecil Shaddix preceded her in death on August 7, 2015. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and spending time with her family.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Shaddix is survived by children and in-laws: Keith and Marla Shaddix, Tony and Regina Shaddix and Wanda and Brad Snipes; a sister and brother-in-law: Jeanette and Bob Oden; her grandchildren: Amanda Snipes, Christy and Alan Lewis, Adam and Ashley Phillips, Nicki Snipes, Daniel and Mindy Shaddix, Bradley and Lindsey Snipes, Eric Snipes, Breanna Shaddix, MiKayla Adams and Raven Adams; great grandchildren: Logan Gibson, Lauren Gibson, Kaci Lewis, Alex Snipes, Kaleigh Snipes, Jacob Lewis, Cole Snipes, Hayden Phillips, Corbin Snipes, Quinn Snipes, Lauren Gainey and Eva Marie Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents: Luther and Clura Dailey; her husband: Wiley Cecil Shaddix; her son: Jeffery Shaddix and a brother: Billy Dailey.
Pallbearers will be Adam Phillips, Daniel Shaddix, Bradley Snipes, Eric Snipes, Logan Gibson and Cole Livingston.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday January 16, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City with Brother: Alan Lewis, officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel and Brindlee Mountain Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Brindlee Mountain Chapel.
