Mrs. Hart died on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born September 15, 1925, in Jefferson County to Richard Leonard Reid and Ethel Lezora (Mitchell) Reid. She was a faithful Christian and loved the Lord and served Him throughout her 60 + year membership at First Baptist Church of Hartselle, where she enjoyed Sr. Adult ministry, choir and traveling with the Senior Adults. Her servant heart reached into her community through membership with the American Legion Auxillary and volunteered at the Caring Place and Priceville Elementary School. She enjoyed playing bridge, square dancing and gardening. Pete was an avid sports fan and loved The Crimson Tide and the Atlanta Braves. Her greatest joy was family! Whether hosting 70 or more in her home for Thanksgiving or just visiting with a few of her children, nothing in this world made her happier. She was the owner of Morton T.V. and Appliance prior to retiring. She was preceded in death by her husbands: James Lonnie Morton and Willis L. Hart.
