Funeral services for Ms. Hedy “Mama Jewell” Hensley Maness, age 85, are scheduled for 11 AM, Thursday, January 12, 2017 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Ms. Maness passed away early Tuesday at her home in Lexington. She was born May 29, 1931 in Wayne County. She was retired from Bill Sills. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. William Kelley; two husbands, Herchel Hensley and Asa Lee Maness; a grandson, Stephen Hensley; and a great grandson, Brandon Stout. Survivors include her two sons, Kennith Hensley (Sue) and Steve Hensley (Beverly); one daughter, Fredia Perry; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
